Jayam Ravi speaks about Engeyum Kadhal

Engeyum Kadhal is a film which has Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. This film which has been directed by Prabhu Deva is being released by Sun Pictures.

How was your experience working with Prabhu Deva?

It was a new experience for me to work with Prabhu Deva. Through his direction and working style I have learnt a lot of things from him. I have brought out on the screen as per his instructions. If you say that I have acted well in this film, then the credit goes to Prabhu Deva only. Because only this film had made me like myself. My style, walk, dress and body language was all his creation.

What about your character?

I am donning the role called Kamal. My character is I work hard for 11 months and I will enjoy one month in Paris. Usually in my films I use to sacrifice lot for the sake of love. But in this film I will not like romance. In short I am enemy of romance in this film. But heroine Hansika Motwani is very much fond of romance. Hansika who lives in a foreign country likes North Indian culture then hers. I like France’s culture very much. So the film is the journey of the two who do not fall in line with each other.

It seems that you have acted very intimately with Hansika Motwani?

There will be no intimacy in the talkie portions but there will be intimate scenes in the song sequences. But that also will be usual intimacy with limitations.
